Essex Touring & Camping
Essex is blessed with the longest coastline of any county in the UK. It also enjoys the driest climate in the UK, so it’s a pretty good choice for a visit, unless you really do enjoy the rain!
Having said that, we can't always guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee a great value caravan or camping holiday at our Essex Touring Parks: Steeple Bay, Dovercourt, West Mersea or Martello Beach.
Explore Essex to the full, it’s packed with interesting things to do and wonderful places to visit.
If you’re after the home of the oldest recorded Roman town in Britain, then the only way is Essex. Winner of this prestigious accolade is the ancient town of Colchester, which also has a great selection of pubs, theatres, museums and, of course, on its outskirts, the famous zoo housing a huge selection of exotic animals.
Other historic villages include St Osyth and the seaside resorts of Clacton-on-Sea and Southend-on-Sea. They offer traditional British seaside fun, and amazing seafood.
All of our Essex caravan holiday parks can be used as a perfect base to see the very best of this wonderful county, from exploring Epping Forest to shopping or dining in Chelmsford. Other Essex attractions include Promenade Park, Colchester Castle Museum, the East Anglian Railway Museum, Adventure Island, the Sealife Centre, Clacton on Sea (and its famous pier), Howletts Zoo, historic Harwick and more.
No matter the time of year there will be something exciting happening in Essex. Foodies (and those who love a tipple) will enjoy the Colchester Food and Drink Festival, or Chelmsford Summer Beer Festival. If you like to rock out, the V Festival (Chelmsford) takes place annually with a host of upcoming and established bands. For plane aficionados the Clacton Air Show is a must, while if Yachting is your thing, Burnham Week shouldn’t be missed. There’s also the Essex Game & Country Fair, fun for the whole family.
So bring your touring caravan or tent for a fantastic Essex camping or caravanning break, with brilliant value pitches available through spring, summer and autumn, and great facilities available on park. We look forward to seeing you soon!
