This dog-friendly beach provides incredible views of the South Pier and rows of beautiful vibrantly coloured beach huts. Located just north of Lowestoft - Britain's most easterly point - things can get a little breezy. So if you ever need to blow the mind cobwebs away or feel the wind in your fur, Corton Beach is the place to be!

Corton Beach is a mix of sand and shingle with a wonderfully flat, wide terrain, which makes for a delightfully tranquil setting to enjoy a walk with the pooch (gales permitting). And for any pups who require an even landscape, backing on to the beach is a level footpath and a large grassy area to enjoy a saunter.

Covehithe Beach – Broadland Sands & Carlton Meres Holiday Park (17 Miles)

If seclusion is what you’re looking for, this is the beach for you. As this location is only accessible by foot, you must adventure on a short walk through a quiet country lane before arriving at this serene, cliff backed, sand beach. As this beach is open to dogs all year round, anyone with four-legs can enjoy a game of fetch and a swim in the sea whenever they like.

On your travels you’re bound to discover many of the scattered sculpture-like tree trunks of trees that once upon a time lined the cliff top. The cliffs themselves have seen much erosion due to the incredible strength of the North Sea.

And if you head towards Covehithe, you will come across the historic ruins of the medieval St Andrews Church – this is only advised for those pooches who love extra-long walks!

Dunwick Heath & Beach – Felixstowe Beach & Suffolk Sands Holiday Parks (35 Miles)

This beautiful area of coastal lowland is the National Trust site of Dunwich Heath, offering a beach and woodlands, both of which are dog-friendly for 365 days a year. Dogs are also welcome inside the nearby tea room too!

The Heath is a rare and precious habitat, home to wonderful species such as the Dartford Warbler, Woodlark, Nightjar, Ant-lion, Adders and so much more. This beautiful Heath offers a tranquil setting and a true sense of being at one with nature.

This beautifully serene shingle beach offers a wide open landscape, (perfect for a game of fetch) backing up on to the Heath’s cliffs.
