Chichester, a small Cathedral City near the coast in West Sussex, full of things to do and see! 48 hours here may not seem a long time to explore, but with our guide, we think it’ll be enough to enjoy everything the pocket size town has to offer. Let’s explore!

DAY 1
Chichester Cathedral
A trip to Chichester is not complete without a visit to the historic 912 year old Chichester Cathedral. With unique architecture from each century of its life, this Cathedral is both ancient and modern. A variety of original medieval features are displayed alongside famous contemporary artworks.
It is free to enter Chichester Cathedral and it is open every day all year round, however they do encourage donations.

A highly reviewed friendly and lively coffee shop, The Fat Fig is located just a short walk from the Cathedral. Ideal for a spot of lunch before continuing to explore the city centre. Serving breakfast & lunch dishes, including sandwiches, omelettes and more!

Bishop's Palace Garden is a peaceful garden which is almost hidden amongst the city buildings, nestled between the Cathedral and the Roman City Walls (most intact Roman city walls in the country). The stunning Bishop’s Palace Garden is a public park, maintained by the city.
Chichester Cross
Following a historical theme, why not stop by the Chichester Cross? The Chichester Cross is a significant stone cross-&-arch monument from 1501, standing at the intersection of 4 main streets, perfect photo op and spot for a family picnic in the sunshine.
DAY 2
Goodwood House
Make sure to visit Goodwood House during your visit to Chichester. The home of the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon oozes glamour of a great English country house with the added warmth of a family home.
Goodwood House is still a private estate but is open from 1st March - 26th October 2020. Also boasting a lovely afternoon tea in the beautiful setting of Goodwood’s ballroom.
Weald & Downland Living Museum
While spending the afternoon at Weald & Downland Living Museum you can discover rescued rural homes and buildings, which are set in a beautiful landscape surrounded by the South Downs National Park. This museum displays the stories of people who lived and worked in South East England over 1,000 years.
The Richmond Arms – 4.5 stars
The Richmond Arms is an independently owned pub, based in the beautiful village of West Ashling, set at the heart of the West Sussex countryside. With two menu options, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
